How to set the password for MyLOFT account?
When you need to create a MyLOFT password
You must create a MyLOFT password either when the Library Team registers your account or when you sign up yourself.
Account created by Library Team
- After the Library Team creates your account, a welcome email is sent to your institute-affiliated email address. If you do not see it, check your Spam or Promotions folder.
- In that email, click the button labeled Login as “Your Name”.
- A new browser tab will open and prompt you to create a strong password. Password requirements are shown when you click the password field.
- Type an acceptable password, retype it to confirm, then click Continue.
- The page will confirm that your password has been set and provide an option to log in.
Note: If you set the password in a mobile browser, a link to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store may appear after the password is set successfully.
Sign up by user
- If self-service sign-up is enabled for your institute, the sign-up page will display text fields for the required information.
- Enter your full name, your email address, and create a password. Password requirements are shown when you click the password field.
- Retype the password to confirm, then click Continue.
Note: If you sign up using Google authentication, you do not need to create a password.
