How to set the password for MyLOFT account?

When you need to create a MyLOFT password

You must create a MyLOFT password either when the Library Team registers your account or when you sign up yourself.

Account created by Library Team

  1. After the Library Team creates your account, a welcome email is sent to your institute-affiliated email address. If you do not see it, check your Spam or Promotions folder.
  2. In that email, click the button labeled Login as “Your Name”.
  3. A new browser tab will open and prompt you to create a strong password. Password requirements are shown when you click the password field.
  4. Type an acceptable password, retype it to confirm, then click Continue.
  5. The page will confirm that your password has been set and provide an option to log in.

Note: If you set the password in a mobile browser, a link to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store may appear after the password is set successfully.

Sign up by user

  1. If self-service sign-up is enabled for your institute, the sign-up page will display text fields for the required information.
  2. Enter your full name, your email address, and create a password. Password requirements are shown when you click the password field.
  3. Retype the password to confirm, then click Continue.

Note: If you sign up using Google authentication, you do not need to create a password.
