Can I order articles on the PubMed portal via MyLOFT?
Yes — article ordering via PubMed is available if your institution has enabled it
Article ordering appears on PubMed only when your institution has both subscribed to and configured the Article Ordering Service.
- Verify access: Confirm with your institution's library or administrator that the Article Ordering Service is subscribed and configured for your account.
- Open the article on PubMed: Navigate to the specific article record on the PubMed portal.
- Look for the order option: On the article page, find a button or link labeled "Order", "Place order", "Article Ordering" or similar in the article tools/services area.
- Place the order: Click the order option and follow the on-screen prompts to choose delivery options and confirm details.
- Sign-in or network requirements: You may need to be signed in with your institutional account or connected to your institution's network (on-campus or via VPN) for the order option to appear.
If you do not see an order option
- Confirm the institution has subscribed to the Article Ordering Service.
- Check that you are signed in with the correct institutional account and/or connected to the institution network.
- Contact your library or institution administrator for help enabling or accessing the service.
