What are Journals in MyLOFT?
Journals in MyLOFT
Journals in MyLOFT are academic or professional periodicals that your institution subscribes to and makes available to users. MyLOFT provides an integrated interface that helps you discover, save, organize, and access articles from those journals.
What you can do
- Search and discover: Find articles and issues from subscribed journals using MyLOFT's search tools and filters.
- Save and organize: Save articles to your account and organize them into folders or collections for later reading and research.
- Access full text: When full content is available through your institution's subscription, MyLOFT redirects you to the publisher's site to view the full article. Access may require authentication such as campus network access, single sign-on, or a library login.
- Account-based features: Personal features like saved lists and organization are tied to your MyLOFT account and are available when you are signed in.
Notes and tips
- If an article is behind a paywall, check whether your institution holds a subscription or contact your library for access options.
- Use search filters (for example, date, journal title, or subject) to narrow results quickly.
- Keep your account signed in when accessing publisher sites to ensure seamless authentication and full-text access.
