Can I change my name from within MyLOFT, or can the MyLOFT Support Team change it for me?
Short answer: You cannot change your name directly in MyLOFT, and the MyLOFT Support Team cannot make this change for you.
How to update your name
- Contact your institution or organization. User data (including names) is managed by your institution, not by MyLOFT.
- Identify the correct office:
- For students: registrar, student services, or the admissions office.
- For employees: human resources (HR) or payroll.
- For other account types: the administrative or IT help desk that manages your account.
- Prepare the required information and documents:
- Your current account name and any username or ID (student or employee number).
- The new name you want displayed.
- Supporting documents, if required (for example, government ID, marriage certificate, or legal name-change paperwork).
- Request the change: Contact the appropriate office using their preferred method (phone, email, in person) and provide the information and documents listed above. Ask them to update your account name in their systems.
- Confirm and check MyLOFT: After your institution updates your records, sign in to MyLOFT to confirm the name has been updated. If it does not update after a reasonable processing time, follow up with the office that made the change.
